Valery Zaluzhnyi said that the defense of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region is strategically important for containing the Russian Federation. Therefore, despite the statement of Western analysts about the inexpediency of the Bakhmut’s defense, the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, headed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has made a joint decision to continue the defense of the city. The meeting also analyzed the provision of weapons and ammunition to military units on the front line. The rates and volumes of the receipt of equipment and weapons from Ukraine’s partners and their distribution by military groups were discussed separately.
